The basic rooms at this tri-level guesthouse are a bit spartan, but amenities like the rooftop sundeck more than make up for any shortcomings.
Guests spend a good share of time here, above the lively scene on Playa Las Terrenas. Start the day with a breakfast of café au lait, fruit and pastries served under a palapa roof; and relax in the Jacuzzi for eight and one of the cushy lounge chairs while taking in panoramic views of the ocean.
The small dipping pool in the partially shaded garden is an amenable alternative to the sandy beach just a short walk away. The generally laid back pace picks up just before sundown with folks settling in for the spectacular view.
