And aside from the few vendors selling fresh fish and cold<br \/>\nbeer from makeshift food stands at the end of the beach, there is<br \/>\nlittle sign of life.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAn hour to the east of <em>Playa Grande<\/em> is one of the<br \/>\nmost beautiful greenways in the Caribbean, the <a href=\"https:\/\/eatdrinksleep.com\/cms\/contentplayagrande.html\">Cabrera\/Playa Grande<br \/>\nGolf Course<\/a>  designed by Robert Trent Jones, with 10 of its 18 holes<br \/>\nrunning alongside towering ocean cliffs.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<h4>Things to do:<\/h4>\n<p><!--\nD([\"mb\",\"\\u003cbr\\&gt;-->Play golf.\\u003cbr\\&gt;Swim.\\u003cbr\\&gt;tennis, horse-riding, hiking trails, surfing, spas, SCUBA &amp; shooting.\\u003cbr\\&gt;\\u003cbr\\&gt;SOSUA:\\u003cbr\\&gt;Crescent shaped bay. Beautiful hotels. Crowded. Lots of restaurants owned by expats. Settlement area for a large group of German and Austrian Jewish refugees for whom the Dominican government issued visas between 1940 and 1945. Multi language. White sand beach. Two main areas: El Batey (residential streets, restaurants, shops and hotels.) and Los Charamicos (your typical Caribbean village).\\n\\u003cbr\\&gt; \\u003cbr\\&gt;Things to do:\\u003cbr\\&gt;Visit Ocean World.\\u003cbr\\&gt;Shopping.\\u003cbr\\&gt;Eating in Sosua\\u003cbr\\&gt;Snorkeling.\\u003cbr\\&gt;Take a glass bottom boat tour\\u003cbr\\&gt;\\u003cbr\\&gt;LAS TERRENAS:\\u003cbr\\&gt;Miles of undeveloped white-sandy beaches. Used to be a fishing village. Tropical rainforest. Must be accessed by one of two mountain roads. Mediterranean-influenced atmosphere. Lots of cafes, restaurants. Lively nightlife.\\n\\u003cbr\\&gt;\\u003cbr\\&gt;Things to do:\\u003cbr\\&gt;Whale watching.\\u003cbr\\&gt;Visit Cayo Levantado.\\u003cbr\\&gt;Visit Los Haitises National Park.\\u003cbr\\&gt;Swim in Playa Rinc\u00f3n.\\u003cbr\\&gt;Visit El Lim\u00f3n Waterfall.\\u003cbr\\&gt;Watersports.\\u003cbr\\&gt;Horseback riding.\\u003cbr\\&gt;\\u003cbr\\&gt;LAS GALERAS:\\u003cbr\\&gt;Quiet and serene fisherman&#039;s village. Beautiful snorkelling reefs. Is a little more difficult to get to than many other tourism destinations.
