How Conde Nast Traveler overlooked this beach when compiling its “best of” list is anybody’s guess.

This untouched piece of paradise is seven long miles of virgin white sand bordered by an intense blue sea to one side, and an expansive desert-like terrain visited by migratory birds to the other. Yes, getting to this pristine bay is far short of an easy ride through Jaragua National Park. The access road gradually worsens into loose rock, but with a sturdy 4-wheel drive vehicle and an early start the payoff will be well worth the effort.
