Although this resort touts itself as being located in La Romana – an obvious attempt to profit from association with the much tonier Casa de Campo resort – it is actually located several miles east in the town of Bayahibe. Not to say that this Casa doesn’t stand solidly on its own. To the contrary, the resort is top notch, and even more so after having undergone a renovation and expansion to its facilities after a take over in 2004. The rooms and common areas are elegantly decorated, and the beach is the best in the Bayahibe area. This Casa also has a spa. Your kids may not participate in donkey polo matches, but if given the choice, they might opt for camp outs and safari adventures, mainstay activities offered at this Casa’s Explorer’s Club.
