Past the sand dunes and at the end of a narrow highway in the country’s largely undiscovered southwest region, you’ll find this lone hostel.

Its somewhat odd name derives from its devotion to windsurfing. With no other attractions for miles, its loyal fan base comes here mostly for the excellent windsurfing conditions. While the hotel does have a bit of an inner-circle feel to it, a gracious proprietor/ host manages to make everyone feel at home.

Hum-drum rooms are housed in one four-story building. A number of them overlook a pool and marina. Guests who aren’t out and about surfing, fishing, diving, or sailing can pass the time at the Dockhouse, where freshly caught fish is always on the menu and all-you can consume drinks are free flowing.
