Is an internship with InteRDom right for you?
InteRDom is a competitive internship and academic study program which aims to encourage and promote academic, scientific, technological and cultural exchange between students, universities and NGO, public and private sector professionals on a national and international scale.
The flexibility of the program ensures that InteRDom not only benefits university students but also serves as a forum for professionals and academics who wish to share ideas and work together to identify similar goals in a variety of fields, thus encouraging research and academic exchange within the Caribbean.
Through our extensive contacts network, students can research specific projects for their studies and receive vocational support from assigned supervisors during their internships. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded a certificate and a full evaluation of their performance by their supervisors. Through our agreements with international universities, awarded credits can be co-validated and transferred to a student’s educational establishment.
InteRDom is part of GFDD/FUNGLODE´s commitment to fostering exchange and collaboration across nations.

The Altos de Chavon Cultural Center Foundation is a nonprofit educational and cultural institution. Since its formation in 1983, the Foundation has fostered the creation of a multifaceted artistic community through art exhibitions, craft workshops, and artistic presentations, as well as educational programs in art and design.
The Foundation’s mission is its sponsorship of the School of Design, the Regional Museum of Archaeology, the Artist-in-Residence Program, and the Gallery–all in Altos de Chavon–and Casa de Chavon in Santo Domingo. Each component is dedicated to the achievement of dynamic cultural and educational objectives.
Hundreds of school children visit the Regional Museum of Archaeology from the rural communities of eastern Hispaniola and scores of artists from around the world exhibit in the Gallery dedicated to contemporary art. The work of the Foundation has touched many, with profound results. The School of Design graduates fill virtually every niche in Santo Domingo’s growing community of design professionals. The international Artists-in- Residence program has made an invaluable contribution to artistic interchange with a global reach.
For nearly two decades the Foundation has made a significant contribution to the artistic, intellectual, and cultural life of the Dominican Republic. Its diverse educational and artistic programs, surrounded by an exuberant natural landscape, have given Altos de Chavon an extraordinary ability to launch the creative designers of today and tomorrow.

CIEE: The Council on International Educational Exchange is the leading U.S. non-governmental international education organization. CIEE creates and administers programs that allow high school and university students and educators to study and teach abroad.
Into the chilly postwar world of 1947, CIEE launched the next generation of study abroad programs, the first since they’d been suspended during World War II. Senators and scholars worried about how to increase international understanding and establish trust between nations. As soon as there was enough capacity aboard trans-Atlantic ships to carry students, CIEE programs began teaching.
Today, CIEE is composed of three interrelated but operationally independent entities based in Portland, Maine; Boston, Massachusetts; and Tokyo, Japan. Our membership continues to grow.
For U.S. high school and university students, CIEE administers approximately 95 study abroad programs in over 33 host countries and teaching programs in Chile, China, Spain, and Thailand. Educators can participate in 26 summer seminars in 29 countries.
The Trainee Program – a category of the J-1 Visa – constitutes one of CIEE’s core areas of competency. During its nearly 20 years as administrator of this program, CIEE has supported more than 50,000 participants in their endeavor to expand their knowledge and skills and to enhance their professional qualifications. The knowledge and experience accumulated over this time, along with an enduring commitment to quality, has allowed CIEE to remain the largest sponsor in this category and an overall leader in program administration.
CIEE’s Work & Travel USA Program makes it possible for international students to explore life in the United States. The program is designed so that overseas students can become more than tourists, experiencing life in the U.S. firsthand by working alongside U.S. citizens in temporary employment. CIEE has been designated by the U.S. State Department to administer this J-1 visa program since 1969.
Who could argue? We need understanding and trust more than ever today. Gain that understanding and build that trust through a CIEE program.
