Sosua’s most romantic restaurant is set on the edge of a cliff; a broad canopied terrace rimmed by seven private al fresco patios overlooking waves crashing against the jagged rock.
The dishes here vary widely, with something to suit almost every taste. Pasta dishes are about as good as anything you get in the typical New York Italian restaurant. Seafood is the better choice (besides, you’re in the Caribbean), particularly the spiny lobster, or one of the fresh fish dishes.
Next door to the restaurant is the recently introduced La Terraza Restaurant with wood-burning pizza oven. After diners place their orders, they’re invited to an antipasto buffet. The dessert, perhaps the best tiramisu we’ve ever had, goes down smoothly, followed by an aperitif included in the meal.
