Just up the hill and across the road from Caribbean Sun Village Resort in Cofresi, you’ll find this fine dining establishment run by a longtime German expat, who perhaps found the forest-like setting a warm and fuzzy reminder of home.
Le Papillon has a captive audience, is one of the few options in the area for off-resort dining; and consistently delivers the goods. While the menu here changes frequently based on the availability of ingredients, the quality remains high. When the kitchen is at its best, you can expect exquisite entrées such as braised rabbit or chateaubriand (for which you should call ahead).
The menu typically includes pasta dishes as well as assorted preparations of chicken, beef, and pork.
