Twenty years ago, a guy from Canada
visited the DR, met his future wife, and never left. Together they
started this beachfront eatery, serving three square meals daily under a
rustic thatch-covered bungalow.

A small footbridge spanning an
artificial creek joins the original bohio to a newly added front porch
resembling an enchanted tropical forest with faux palm chutes for
columns and climbing vines on the ceiling.

The restaurant is best
appreciated at night with its low lighting and lull of a receding tide.
Daily offerings include fresh fish and seafood; additional options
include pasta dishes and select cuts of beef.
