If an extensive list of high-profile
clients is the measure of a great restaurant, then Peperoni has it
going on, and on and on. From high-powered world leaders such as
former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and former Canadian Prime Minster
Jean Chretien, to media moguls, fashion designers, sports heroes,
actors, musicians and even royalty, Peperoni has seen them all.
Gustav Cisneros, South America’s answer to Ted Turner, is a regular
(at the mucho mas fabulous La Romana location); and Chelsea Clinton
and her Spanish contemporary, Infanta Elena, have both been spotted
adding their elegance to the exquisite ambiance characteristic of
both Peperoni locations.

They come no doubt for the menu, which
is extensive and eclectic, mirroring haute cuisine from the farthest
reaches of the globe. We recommend the coriander tuna served with
baby bok choy or one of the sensational pasta dishes such as linguine
in goat cheese and chives. The chef is generous, leaving little room
for dessert, however, most desserts are offered in five-person
portions, so share the decadent brownie extravaganza, or the sampler
sufficient for a large group to taste every dessert on the menu!
